What is Honduras Pitch Pine?
Honduras Pitch Pine, sometimes known as Caribbean Pine or Ocote in South American countries, is stronger and denser than other pine woods such as Southern Yellow Pine, radiata pine, slash pine and others. It is yellow in color, but also features shades of red or copper depending on the amount of resin in the wood. Our Honduras Pitch Pine comes from our own facility in Honduras where it is harvested, milled, packaged and shipped throughout the world.
